Frequent MISTAKES

MCP couldn’t and shouldn’t be associated with physical training or electromyostimulation (EMS) and enhanced external counterpulsation (EECP)

Main Differences

MCP versus Physical exercise and EMS:

  • Physical exercise loads body musculature, joints and heart.
  • EMS gently loads certain muscle groups and heart without affecting joints.
  • MCP gently loads certain muscle groups without affecting joints and off-loads the heart.

MCP versus EECP:

  • During procedure muscles are active with MCP but passive with EECP.
  • MCP can avoid undesirable pre-load increase.
  • MCP is a portable device.

During the MCP procedure must not appear any of the following symptoms:

  • Tachycardia or hypertension!!!
  • Dyspnea or angina pectoris
  • Discomfort or heaviness feeling in the chest

Presence of any of the above mentioned signs points to violation of MCP methodology or inaccurate selection of the patient.

Popular DELUSIONS

“The more muscular mass is involved and the more expressed contractions of the muscles are presented, the more significant counterpulsation (CP) effect is expected”

“What for the procedure is performed if CP effect is presented only during the procedure?”

These beliefs are false. They are based on superficial observation and do not take into account delicate mechanism of nervous and humoral regulation.
